Despite its short length (74 minutes), Ray, Mukherjee, and Chatterjee give a film art masterclass in nuance with excellent performances by the entire cast, but especially Mukherjee, who delivers a brutal payback to Chatterjee's character because he lacked the courage to take a stand on her behalf during their college age years.
